Lost  Programs
I am haveing a wierd thing happen. Some ,not all, programs when I exit them and then go back some time later, they are gone. No evidence of ever being installed on the computer. No icons, nothing in C:\Program files, and nothing when iI go to controll panel. Programs and Features. Any one else have this problem??

Yep... That would be quite weird. Can you be a bit more specific - like which program(s) you've installed that vanish into thin air? Which version of Win 7 do you have (32 bit or 64 bit)? If you're running the 64 bit version, 32 bit apps do NOT get installed under C:\Program Files\ - they get installed under another folder called C:\Program Files (x86)\Have you had any other issues - something requiring a System Restore to an earlier date? That could have done something to your files as well.

Odd indeed. I've got 2of the 3 apps installed on my Win 7 32 bit install and they've managed to stay put - so far. If you open up the Reliability Monitor and you find the date the apps went missing, do you see any events - Critical or Informational - that might give us a clue as to what happened to these apps? Click on Start Orb, type in Reliability Monitor and click on the View Problem History - this will give you a chart and notes. You might check the Event Viewer to see if there are any weird entries that might also point to why these things vanished. Click Start Orb, right-click on Computer, select Manage - select the Event Viewer and the Windows Logs catagory under it. Look there and see if there are any clues to what may have happened here...

Nothing at all? How long ago did you install Win 7? You should have one column per every day it's been installed. In each column, you will see a red X listed if any app crashed on that given day. Also, there will be a Yellow ! Warning for each time you tried installing something and it failed. It will also have a blue "I" on a given day if something was succcessfully installed - even if it's an update from Microsoft...

I know in most cases, uTorrent doesn't install to any particular folder, it's simply an .exe. I don't know what's going on with the other two. Have you been able to fix it lately? -Nick
